The 787-G printhead combines the cyan and magenta ejection nozzles on a single module. Unlike an ink cartridge, it does not contain a liquid reservoir, but only the nozzle system that sprays ink coming from the colour cartridges installed separately on the machine. It is replaced when the cyan/magenta print quality deteriorates (broken or faded lines) and is not linked to the running out of a cartridge.
Robustness and conditions of use
Before installation, it is recommended to shake the printhead three times to homogenise the residual ink in the nozzles. The electrical contact must face the front of the machine, and insertion pressure must be applied only to the centre of the head to avoid damaging the nozzles. After replacement, the machine automatically initiates a priming cycle and then requests the printing of a test pattern before validation.
Compatibility and applications
This printhead installs on Pitney Bowes Connect+ (500W, 1000, 2000, 3000) and SendPro P (P1000, P1500, P2000, P3000) systems, via the menu Settings > Hardware > Printer > Printhead > Install new. It is intended for users of these ranges experiencing a drop in print quality on cyan and magenta colours.
