The Pitney Bowes SL-7741 cartridge (3UB41 series) is a water-based black ink designed for printing on franking machines equipped with upgraded DM Infinity systems. It guarantees consistent manufacturer print quality and direct compatibility, with no additional adjustment required.
Composition and safety
The ink consists mainly of water (75–85 %), a cycloamide agent (< 15 %) and a black pigment (< 2.5 %). It contains two preservatives (1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one and 2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one) at concentrations below 0.1 %, which are responsible for the hazard statement H317 (skin sensitisation). The product is not classified as posing any physical or environmental hazards.
Robustness and conditions of use
The high flash point (> 110 °C) and low volatile organic compound content (< 180 g/L) make it a stable ink under normal storage and handling conditions. The product is not subject to any transport regulations (ADR/IMDG/IATA/DOT).
